Beat logic syntax mutation wayne state university DM series 5 3-9-18 i want to thank Joo Won Park and wayne state for hosting me last night it was very nice to explore this stage of the nsound recently i discovered that if i unplug the hand interface from the computer while its making a pulse rhythm it will keep making it but freeze it in place which has a very relaxing quality to it so i wanted to play more with smaller movements to let the rhythms breath a bit more i got to discuss atheory ive been working on that most people now have a subconscious beat-logic that their brains understand but only getrs used for enjoyment understanding beats is a language syntax that we can speak with as well if the transducer which in this case is the sonocybernetic prosthesis im wearing in the video can convert meaning into sound form into beat syntax fast enough to be created in real time and be understood as both beautiful expression the information to be communicated and valid useable data interchangebly im working on demonstrable sound forms of which this recording is the first proper ie on a great sound system for the expression of the idea and not in my lab checking to see if something broke recording Joo Won Park and all the students thanks again set up the sound system pointing inward which helps make it sound like a coherent field since the sonopixel sound is pulsing back and forth between the speakers its like wearing big headphones - gonna make some new sensor discs to replace the ones that broke and maybe go out somewhere and play at some point this weekend or just play on the big sound system in the next room will see thank you Ian Tran for filming
