tiny house video 4 - sacred geometry magic numbers and where they are in the tiny houses
Like the seed of a tree any cohesive design is based on an interconnected series of numbers and their proportional relationships It is this idea that everything relates to everything else that is the foundation of these tiny house designs We use a 2 7 metre 'module' as the basis for their geometry as it breaks down 900mm x 3 or 300mm x 9 300mm is the core dimension and is the magic 3 1 2 3 the number three is both symetrical and a series the two pilliars of proportions If these numbers are translated into the imperial system 300mm would be 1 foot 2 7m 9 feet or 3 yards The magic three is there again Proportional systems help organise elements as well Building components are mainly in multiples of 300mm or 1 2m x 2 4m sheets Using a proportional system in your design will bring all the pieces together in a rhythm that cannot be found any other way
